Finale. After two and a half years, we come to the end of our journey down historic Route 66 and through all 66 books of the Bible. Beginning in chapter four, the book of Revelation contains a series of visions of what Jesus called “the things to come.” John is caught up into heaven and there receives a blueprint of the final 7 years of history, climaxing with the return of Jesus Christ at the Battle of Armageddon, and the creation of a New Heaven, a New Earth, and a New Jerusalem. If you don’t know and understand these chapters you really don’t understand the Christian faith or the plans and purposes of God. It is my conviction that the final two chapters of Revelation, and of the Bible itself, are the two most important chapters in the Bible. Why? You have to come Sunday to find out.
