As Detective Rosewood (aka Judge Reinhold) said, we will be tackling the two shortest books on the New Testament: 2 and 3 John. One is written to a house church, which John addresses as the “Chosen Lady”, and the other to his dear friend Gaius. The letters are short and sweet and have three very clear messages. Of course, you have to come Sunday to find out what they are and to see Will Smith’s house (one of many Beverly Hills’ attractions.)
Sunday is also a communion Sunday, so we get the whole enchilada of New Testament Christianity: worship, communion, and solid biblical teaching. And you don’t want to miss Dave getting installed by the official presbytery installers! If you have been stuck at a rest stop somewhere back along the journey, come join us as we near the finish line. After Sunday, we will have one final stop and one final book: Revelation. I am setting aside two weeks to tackle the final book of the Bible. The end is in sight!
