This Sunday we are back on Rt. 66 and heading toward Los Angeles. At Barstow, Route 66 takes a turn to the South and begins to follow I-15. We will stop in Victorville, CA, where “the desert meet the mountains.” Our corresponding book of the Bible is 2 Peter. For a little teaser, check out this week’s video.
2 Peter is a short little book but one that has some great content. Peter writes about having a more effective and productive spiritual life. He also writes about how you can have confidence in the inspiration of the Bible. And finally, as his final message to the Church, reminds his audience that Jesus is coming again. Along with 2 Peter, I am also going to take you through the letter of Jude. Jude is composed of 25 short verses. And Sunday you will see how the book is almost identical to the second chapter of 2 Peter.
It should be a great Sunday as we move rapidly toward the end of our epic journey through the Bible. By the time Sunday is over, we will have covered 62 books of the Bible and only have 4 to go.
