Wednesday night we will be digging into Revelation, Chapter 2, and the letter Jesus dictates to a church in the city of Smyrna. One important consideration when studying Revelation is how the circumstances which prompted the writing of the book have certain similarities to the times we are experiencing with the Corona pandemic. It was a very difficult time for followers of Jesus. They were in the midst of a vicious persecution that in some cases cost them their lives. Some didn’t handle it very well. But reading between the lines, in the short message to the church in Smyrna, these men and women were doing great, even at the threat of death.
