What is the most famous street corner in America? I’ll give you a hint. It is on Route 66 and in the state of Arizona. Here is a little teaser:
Thanks to the Eagles, and their 1972 hit, “Take it Easy”, the corner of Second St. and Kinsley Ave. in Winslow, AZ, might be the correct answer to the question. And this Sunday, we will stop in Winslow on our adventure down Route 66 and through the Bible.
Our corresponding book of the Bible is 1 Corinthians. This is another of Paul’s epistles and could hardly be more different from Romans than a letter could be. Although there are bits and pieces of theology sprinkled throughout the book, the letter primarily deals with a series of problems in the church in Corinth and a number of questions that have been addressed to Paul in a letter to him from the church.
