Greetings to all you prodigals out there. You know who you are. In Jesus’ day, the religious leaders criticized Jesus for being a friend to the renegades, sinners, and prodigals. Of course, the truth is, we are all prodigals. The Pharisees, Scribes, and Priests did get it. They also didn’t get that God loves prodigals. Their image of who God is was warped by their distorted religiosity. Jesus came to straighten out that way of thinking. In Session #23 of The Story of Jesus I will explore with you a story Jesus told about a dysfunctional Jewish family and how the story reveals what God is really like. I think it is the best story Jesus told and one that we all need to contemplate periodically. The link to the session is below:
