Retiring Sort Of

In June of 1971 I joined the summer ministry staff of Colonial Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri.  On June 30, 2021, I will be retiring from my position as Pastor Emeritus of Highline Community Church, Greenwood Village, Colorado where I was Senior Pastor for ten years.  Fifty years and seven churches.  Time to move on!
But… I’m not retiring, yet, from what I’ve been doing for the last fifty years. I plan on continuing to write and teach as President of The Telos Project.  This is a non-profit I set up in 1999 to write and teach independently of any local church.  I am in the middle of one major writing project now, with another waiting in the wings.  I’ll be speaking once a month at Narrow Gate, a men’s luncheon fellowship here in Denver, and am looking for the right studio space to do a bit more live stream teaching. And, I hope to continue consulting on more film and TV projects.   I guess all that is the “Sort of” part of retiring.
Joy and I hope to have a bit more freedom to travel, fly-fish, and play a little golf together. I also need to log in a few more miles on my motorcycle than I’ve been able to do in the last few years.
If you would like to know more about The Telos Project, or think you might like to be involved, you can email me at bob@telosproject.org.
