Greetings to all! I wanted to send a quick update as we move into September and get ready to get back to our study of The Story of Jesus. My hope is to teach Session #16 the week of September 12. I will tape the study that Monday and it will be available on YouTube by Tuesday (unless something goes wrong – or as the Bible says, “The Lord willing.”) I hope your summer went well. Joy and I made a couple of short trips and went to a couple of Rockies’ games. We were fortunate enough to see a game they won! Along with the beginning of the study, I’m attaching an invitation that went out from Highline Community Church about a retirement from Highline event they are planning on September 18, after the 10:30 service. I’d like to personally invite any of you who can to join us. The note below is pretty self-explanatory. It would help me a great deal if you could shoot me a quick email letting me know if you are still planning on watching The Story of Jesus videos. I’ll tell you a funny story about what happened with our last session during the next session. Here is the invitation from Highline:
Dr. Bob Beltz has taught, preached, and served the Kingdom for more than five decades, and because of his leadership and guidance, many of us have been encouraged and had our lives transformed. When Bob chose to step away from his responsibilities at Highline Community Church because of COVID and other reasons, there was never an opportunity to properly recognizing all that he has done during his distinguished career. But now is the time! On September 18, Highline will host an appreciation event to celebrate the work of Dr. Beltz and how important he has been to us. The event will take place immediately after Highline’s 10:30 worship service and any and all who know Dr. Bob are invited.
