Elvis Drives a DeSoto

After a short break, we are back to our next episode of The Road to Somewhere. Baker is home and filmed this session. In this episode John and Joy head down Rt. 66 to Ash Fork, AZ., population 396. Thanks to being by-passed by I-40, it is basically a ghost town.  John and Joy find an old gas station, that became a beauty salon, that has an old DeSoto on the roof, being driven by Elvis!  After a brief introduction to Ash Fork, John segues into the letter of Paul to the church in Colossae.  It is found in our bibles under the title Colossians.  It is the last of what are called the “Prison Epistles” of Paul, written from Rome around 60 AD.  With both legalistic Jews and heretical Gnostics infiltrating the church, Paul has a lot to say about both groups, and especially exactly who Jesus is, and exactly what the cross accomplished.  It is a very important short letter and I highly recommend watching both the episode and the teaching video.  Here are the links:
