NewYear/New Testament

Welcome to 2026.  As we begin a new year, our journey down The Road to Somewhere will take us through the rest of the New Testament. As we get back on the road, we travel from Flagstaff, AZ, to the little town of Bellemont, AZ.  Only ten miles down the road from Flagstaff, Bellemont is famous for a dilapidated, former motel called the Pine Breeze Inn.  It’s fame is rooted in a scene from the movie Easy Rider, when Billy and Wyatt stop at the motel to spend the night.  When the manager takes a look at them, he changes the neon “Vacancy” sign to “No Vacancy.”  The letter of Paul that is connected to this stop is the book of Ephesians.  One of the “Prison Epistles”, Paul is writing from Rome, while under house arrest, to this group of men and women in the city of Ephesus he taught for three years.  As a result, I find Ephesians one of the spiritually deeper books of the New Testament.  It is important that along with the episode video you watch the teaching video.  Let’s start a new year by digging deeper into our understanding of the New Testament.  The links to both the episode and the teaching video are below.
