Today, we make our third stop on Route 66. Episode 3, of Season One, in our adventure on The Road to Somewhere, will ultimately take us to Funks Grove, where we will shoot our third video (to go with the lecture on Exodus). We have just been to Joliet and Rich and Creamy Ice Cream visiting the Blues Brothers. On the way to Funks Grove, we stop in Dwight, Illinois to check out the wonderfully restored Ambler’s Texaco station. Joy suggests we put the top down on the Vette for the rest of the drive to Funks Grove. Funks Grove is just beyond Bloomington and is famous for it’s maple syrup, (spelled “sirup” since 1891). John Calvin will give a little insight into Funks Grove and then a teaser about the book of Exodus. Here are the links to both Episode 3, and the lecture I gave on the book of Exodus.
