This week we come to the final letter Jesus dictated to John to send to seven churches in the Roman province of Asia. It was sent to the church in the city of Laodicea. If the letter to Philadelphia gives us examples of things we can do to please Jesus, this letter reveals a spiritual condition that literally makes Jesus want to puke! This was a church that was lukewarm. And not only were they lukewarm, they were also self-deceived. I’ll attempt to explain the problem and walk through the solutions Jesus gives.
