If you are under the age of 40 (maybe 55) the name Captain America conjures up images of the Marvel movies staring Chris Evans. If you spent any time in the 60’s it might stir up an entirely different image. Long before Chris Evans, Peter Fonda’s alter ego was Captain America in the movie Easy Rider. Sunday we make a stop in Bellemont, AZ. You probably wouldn’t recognize it, but a funny scene from Easy Rider took place here. You have to come Sunday to find out what it was! Our biblical stop will be the amazing book of Ephesians. It is perhaps the loftiest of all of Paul’s letters and I will attempt to give you a good overview.
It is also a communion Sunday and it looks like a really nice weather day. So we get to share the bread and the cup, the book of Ephesians, a little nonsense from Easy Rider, and amazing worship with Biff. I don’t know why you would not want to be a part of all that! So I hope to see you then!
