Announcing Jesus
Tomorrow night we continue our study of The Story of Jesus. In our first session we explored who the book of John says Jesus was before he was Jesus. We traveled to “the beginning”. Chronologically, the next events in the story are three announcements that are of critical importance. One is very familiar to many of you. It is the announcement to Mary by the angel Gabriel. Theologians call it The Annunciation. But two other important communications from God are delivered to two more of the main characters that appear at this point in the drama.
