There was a time when those without a strong biblical background would have told you the four horsemen of the Apocalypse were the backfield for the 1924 Notre Dame championship football team coached by Knute Rockne. They were given this name by Grandland Rice, the most famous sportswriter of the day. But the real four horsemen are found in Chapter Six of Revelation and each appears as one of the first four seals of a Scroll are opened by the Lamb who takes the Scroll from the hand of the One seated on the Throne. If this doesn’t make sense to you, you might want to go back and listen to the last two sessions of Revelation where John is caught up in the Spirit and given a vision of Heaven, and shown what triggers the beginning of the Tribulation period of Revelation.
