Revelation Session #2
Last Wednesday night we launched our study in the book of Revelation. Using the first three verses I taught an introduction to the book. If you missed, you might not know “revelation” is the English word that was chosen to translate the Greek word “apocalupsis” and from which we identify the type of literature the book of Revelation is based on called Apocalyptic. This Wednesday we will look at the first actual “revelation” of the book when John hears a voice instructing him to write what he sees and to send it to seven first century churches in the Roman province of Asia. John turns and sees a vision of the risen and exalted Christ. We will work through 10 characteristics of what John sees.
