Final stop in Arizona on Route 66

This Sunday we will roll right up to the border of California on Route 66. Topock, AZ, is our last Arizona stop. We also come to the end of Leg 7 of our journey through the Bible and the letters of Paul. Sunday will be a double header as I take you through both Titus and Philemon. It will also be my first Sunday as your Pastor Emeritus. For a little sneak preview, check out our video https://vimeo.com/272853196.
Titus was a disciple of the Apostle Paul, much like Timothy. He must have been one tough dude because Paul seemed to send him where there were problems: First to Corinth, and now to Crete. The national motto of Crete was, “All Cretans are liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” It must have been quite a place! Titus is sent to straighten things out.
Philemon is the shortest of the letters of Paul. It is only 335 words long. But it has an important message of reconciliation. We will take a quick look.
Sunday is also a communion Sunday. We will come to the Lord’s Table and dig into God’s Word. To top it all off we will worship the living God under the leadership of the incomparable Biff Gore!
